The Stepanavan Dendropark, situated in Gyulagarak village of the Lori region, is located 12 kilometers away from Vahagn Resort. Established in 1931 by Polish engineer-forester Edmon Leonowicz, the park spans approximately 35 hectares. Half of this area comprises natural forest, while the other half is a cultivated reserve, renowned for its diverse array of unique tree species, shrubs, and flowers.
Presently, the park boasts over 5000 plant varieties, including 1000 trees and shrubs. Over the years, specimens have been introduced to the Stepanavan Reserve from countries such as the USA, Germany, France, China, and Portugal, as well as from botanical gardens in Tbilisi, Kiev, St. Petersburg, and Moscow.

This location is ideal for sightseeing excursions, drawing considerable attention from the general public, scientists, and eco-tourists alike. Within the park, visitors will encounter a charming wooden bridge. Legend has it that any dreams held while crossing this bridge for the first time are destined to come true…
